What is Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging or DITI?

DITI is a 15 minute, non-invasive test of physiology. It is a valuable screening procedure for altering your physician to changes that can indicate early stage breast disease. The benefit of DITI testing is the opportunity to detect breast disease at an earlier stage than is possible through breast self-examination, doctor examination or mammography alone.

DITI detects the subtle physiologic changes that accompany breast pathology. These pathologies, whether they are developing cancers, fibrocystic disease, vascular disease or infection, will cause deviations from normal breast patterns. With this information your physician can then plan accordingly structuring a program to pursue further diagnostic testing and/or monitor you during and after treatment.

About the Procedure
*No Radiation
*Non-Invasive
*No Compression or Contact with the Body
*FDA Registered

This is a quick and easy test starts with a review of your medical history. You will then partially disrobe for the scanning procedure, and the required images will be taken. This first session provides the baseline of your thermal signature.

A follow up session in three months assures the patterns remain unchanged.

All of your thermograms or breast images are kept on record. Once your stable pattern or thermal fingerprint has been established, changes can be detected during routine annual scans.

Who Benefits?
All women can benefit from DITI or thermography screening. It is especially appropriate for women ages 30-50 whose denser breast tissue can make it difficult for mammography to be effective. Thermography is advisable for women of any age who are unable or who refuse to undergo routine mammograms. Thermography is a test that can identify suspicious areas in the breast that need further examination and testing.
