This has been a crazy and difficult year for many. The world seems poised for self destruction, people are on edge, suffering in many ways and fearing what can happen in the next minute. During turbulent times, it is crucial to stay “grounded”. We must remember we are a small part of a larger whole. You are not responsible for the world’s ills, so don’t waste energy worrying. Instead, send good wishes to people worse off than you, do what you can for them, and let go what you cannot change. Don’t carry the weight of the world, enjoy your world instead. One of my favorite ways to relax is to have a nice glass of wine, or a perfect preroll and sit in a tub of hot water with Epsom salts and let go of the world. Prior to bedtime, it is a great way to enter the world of dreams and renewal, - otherwise known as sleep. Practice letting go. Practice consulting your body for stored areas of tension. Check with your neck, shoulders and back. Relax them deliberately. Stretch often during the day. Take deep breaths from time to time and consciously allow your body to relax. Be extra kind to someone today. It will make you feel good too. Don’t dabble too much in the unreal realm of the internet. It’s a black hole for time and money and only distances you from the experience of being in the world. Remember - be here now!
